About Twiga

We are a research and communication consultancy that offers tailor-made strategic solutions.

We value a job well done and we know from experience that quality research requires time. That’s why we don’t accept projects for ‘yesterday’.

Twiga means giraffe in Swahili. The giraffe represents our way of understanding life, the place from which we work. It symbolizes:

Beyond its inspiring beauty, the giraffe’s skin pattern symbolizes for us a global social structure.

Habitat

Its long and elegant neck allows the giraffe to scan the horizon from a broad perspective. This is present in our comprehensive analyses, in which we do not neglect the social context in increasingly intercultural environments.

The giraffe is the animal with the largest heart. We love what we do and believe in working from the heart. We are defined by passion and respect for our work, as well as our perseverance to come up with actionable solutions. Like the noble giraffe, at Twiga we put honesty and trust before short-term profit. We know that this is the only way to build lasting relationships, and in any case, it’s the place from which we feel comfortable.

Strength

The giraffe is solid and robust, as is our extensive experience of more than 25 years in multiple sectors and approaches, and our international backgound.

The colors of the giraffe transmit warmth and closeness, as well as energy and enjoyment of life, all values that we share and want to be present in our work.

Listening

The giraffe does not seek confrontation, but presence. We believe in empathetic connection, an open and curious mind, and the power of active listening to both clients and the people who participate in our studies and trainings. That allows us to reach their needs, sometimes even those of which they have not yet become aware.

Teaming up with our clients we discover their underlying needs, which allows us to go beyond mere results and deliver strategic value for their future plans. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions. Our multi-methodology creative approaches allow us to face each challenge as a new adventure.

Singularity

Each giraffe has a unique pattern on its skin, which extends throughout its body.

Social Commitment

Contributing to life is an essential human need. We believe in the ability and personal responsibility to promote change and make a difference.

We contribute our experience, know-how and part of our time to a social cause within the framework of restorative justice. We collaborate with AMEE (Association for Mediation, Encounter and Listening) through volunteering, as facilitators of restorative encounters between victims of crime and people sentenced in penitentiary institutions.

With each process we see the power of non-judgmental listening and empathy in the ability of human beings to take responsibility for their actions, rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society as valued actors. And along the way, we often wonder if we’re giving as much as we get.
